TV tray. kinda...

Well I'm 16 years old and this is my first ever woodworking project. My dad has quite a few tools from when he began woodworking a few years ago, and I thought I would give it a try. My dad not having much faith in me suggest I make it out of pine. (Can't really blame him I guess!) I just finished the gluing process yesterday afternoon and it should be ready for it's first coat of poly here in a few hours! I'd say it's gone pretty smooth for my first project! (My pictures don't really feel like cooperating apparently!)

Everyone has to start somewhere. If you have a vision of what something will be make sure to follow it until the end, you may make mistakes or stray from your original ideas to make something work but come the second project I can guarantee you'll have learned something from the first one.
Its nice to see young people getting involved in this hobby.
I urge you to look through all of the wonderful projects here, it will get your mind thinking on what to do next.
Never be afraid to ask for advice, thats what we're all here for, to learn from each other.
Keep the projects coming.

Thank you for that! If I ever have questions I know where I'm asking them.

Looks like you beveled all the edges and added a radius to all the corners as well. Looking very nice.

Well here is the finished product. It was made of pine with a Varathane Chestnut stain and three coats Minwax Gloss Polyurethane.

Nothing wrong with that. In fact I'd be darn proud if my own first project looked that good. Well done!

If Woodworking is so much fun why isn't it called WoodFUNNING?

I've made a few videos
