Stool

Hi,
my mom asked me about low height stool. It's useful to achieve some books at her high bookshelves. It's my first stool and I tried some dovetail joints. Height about foot

Great looking stool, looks very sturdy. Nice joinery. I don't think I would have gone to the extent of the butterflies on the bottom.

What great joinery! Mitered tenons, butterflies, wedges, so much hand work. Looks sharp :^)

I think that is beautiful. I might have put those bow ties on top where they can be appreciated. Really great work.

It happens so! I look at an old wooden product and I think.
In fact it is work of the carpenter, and I start to dream.

Thanks to all! :) Your forum is wonderful. Old-style joinery is my passion, but I haven't enough experience. Tools that used here ( for stool making ):

I love the joinery! Very impressive, and that looks like a nice dovetail saw you have there! Welcome to the forum by the way!

Nice job, made to last. I'm sure this stool will be in service for a long time. In this age of mechanical fasteners it's refreshing to see solid hand cut joinery.
