A souvenir of his godfather for a cousin

This needs a bit of a backstory. In 1943, my uncle Joachim purchased a 1934 Chevrolet (we think it is the one on the left in a 1942 photo). In 1945 he sold it to my dad and bought a Jawa Perak motorcycle. In 1951 my dad left the old Chevy behind the equipment shed at my grandfather's farm. In 2001 i picked it up and restored it. In 1946 my cousin was born and Joachim became his godfather (while he still owned the Jawa). So I decided to make him a gift which will incorporate a 1:18 scale Jawa and a photo of Joachim on his . The base and backboard will be applewood from my property here and the frame for the photo will be made in original wood from the Chevy.

Done, just mailed it to him. Hopefully, he'll like it. As I said above the base is from my old apple tree and the framew is from a '34 Chevy his godfather once owned. Which is the car in my avataar, by the way.

I'm sure he will love it Pat. You have done a masterful job on this and have made the family connection with the wood used. Good one mate. Be very proud!

I go overboard with every hobby I get involved in.......no exceptions!
