Simple couch end table w/black pipe lamp and USB charger

Nothing fancy. Made of simple 1x4s and the top is 3/4 ply with edge banding to hide the plys.

Finish is 2 different rustolem stains. Vintage blue and carbon grey. Both are pretty nice although not exacly what I expected. Wanted a more fun finish that still had wood grain (i hate painted wood) instead of traditional.

Black pipe lamp was inspired by pinterist as the are everywhere now days. My own spin has usb charging and dimmer switch for the light. Light is edison style LED bulb.

We needed something to be as tall as our custom couch (made that too but havent had tine to write up that post) and the girlfriend was wanting a lamp so she can do her knitting.

Interesting build. I like the choice of blue stain, don't see that very often.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

Nice project! I like the blue- different than the usual finishes. Thanks for sharing.

You've put a unique finish on it! The effect is like it came from a sunken ship.

I never thought of sunken ship. It reminds me of an old farm wagon my dad has that has faded blue paint. I will add a photo when i can.
