So at that point I'd hit a snag. I'd thrown the desk together almost haphazardly not realizing the intricacies of the top. It was out of square, the tambour would bind, and there was a massive bow in it.

It sat for about 18 months while I tried to decide how to proceed. Finally I restarted it, rebuilding everything from the drawers up.

Very nice. You obviously take a lot of pride in your work. It must be the year of the roll top desk. I've been working on mine, on and off since November 2016. I made by bottom desk same as yours, in three sections so it would be easier to move. How did you attach the middle back panel to the two sides?

Polished brass corner brackets. I attached the top in the same way.
