oops! Just found the project showcase forum. I'll post anything else there, and please move this post if necessary. (sorry)



So, to elaborate on the welcome thread, here's a bit about what I do. Many years ago I started picking up random sticks in the wild to use for hiking sticks. Then I started bringing them home, cleaning them up, adding a little varnish or stain and voila! Homemade gifts for friends :-) After seeing some incredible inlay work on a cedar flute, I was inspired to try inlay in my sticks. Many of them have cracks and imperfections, so I just fill these with a variety of materials.


Here is my latest work, a piece of Aspen that a friend though would make a great walking stick. So, I undertook the challenge...
