Military Award

This is for a Cpl who is leaving his command. His SSgt is a good buddy mine. He called me a few days ago and asked me to make something simple. I happened to have a replica mini NCO sword lying around, and some left over poplar from a previous project. I used a simple provincial minwax stain. Finished off with a few coats of lacquer. I'm pretty happy with the results.

you should indeed be happy w/ the results ... very nice job and in a worthy cause.

You can never have too much pepperoni on your pizza or own too many clamps.

pretty easy actually i transferred the pattern onto the wood then I simply used my scroll saw to cut them out. Once i separated the pieces i stained the bigger part and once it was dry I glued the natural wood pieces back in and finished it off with a few coats of laquer
