Mail, magazine storage and message board pics

Hey guys, decided to try a small project and it came out really nice.
The wife is a fan of etsy website which sells handmade crafts and stuff, and someone is selling this thing for quit a bit, with $40 of materials and like 4 hours time i made the same thing.

1/2" birch plywood back. Would have gone with cheaper since it got painted but big box store only had ONE STRAIGHT PIECE of 2ftx4ft ply!
boxes are 1x3 pine, 1/2 birch scraps for the magazine box.
8mm Luan attached to the bottoms with finishing nails.

2 1/4 door casing for the frame. Boxes made with pocket screws and glue.
No primer, just two coats of Rustoleum Chalkboard paint.

here are some before paint, and after.

That looks to be a pretty useful setup there. Using chalkboard paint is a great idea. Well done.
