Laundry Hamper

Made out of 2x4s and some plywood. I kept it "open" so damp clothes won't mildew and it's possible to see and pull out an article of clothing down in the pile without dumping everything out. Has one coat of Arm-R-Seal on it.

Welcome to the forum. That's a lot of half laps. Should work well. As a Kid, my parents had a house with a laundry chute, Where from the bathroom you would open a door and drop the laundry down the chute to the basement. A laundry hamper like you made would have worked well there.

Love it. Looks great.

Will there be a basket or sack hanging inside?I'm just thinking about the socks and other small items that will inevitably fall through the openings.

Thanks for the welcome gmercer_48083. It's appreciated.

gj13us - Your absolutely right, small stuff does fall through, a liner of some sort would surely help. For now I just pick any clothes that spill out and throw them back on top.

That is nice! Allow me to share one I did for my two grandsons who love Tennessee basketball. Can;t remember where I got the plans. It's plywood and 2X4s. Home Depot has paint for collegiate colors. Small basket goes on the shelf. Laundry becomes a game.

Kept all the dirty clothes in one place. Actually made two of them for the grandsons.
