Hard Rock Cafe Foxwoods front podium mods

This is the front podium at the entrance to the Hard Rock at Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, Ct. My daughter worked there at the time of this project as the Director of Sales and Marketing. She "volunteered me" to modify the present podium to house a guitar. We worked on this together in my shop. I made a new front and inletted the shape of the Stratocaster to fit snugly into the cavity. Then I lined the area with white crushed velvet material over some batting for a padded appearance. My daughter applied all the cut glass pieces around the perimeter. The podium itself was already there...I did not make that...just the mods to the front. I can't remember now who that Strat belonged to...did this over a year ago...

It was fun to work with my daughter in my shop, but guess who got to clean up the mess when it was over?

Nice job and it's great that you got to do this with your daughter!

Judging by the logo on the strat and the fact that it's a Squire strat and not an American, I'd wager that this is just one of the Hard Rock's decoration guitars.

Fantastic looking project.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"

Pretty cool project Terry.
Looks great, and your daughter did a fine job on the cut glass.
