Fireplace Built in

This was a piece I did for my sister and her husband, which was prolonged over months due to my health...

I was very pleased with how it turned out. These photos were taken before the tile was finished around the fireplace, as well as a couple other nick nacks.

Happy new year folks!

Here's some photos of other work throughout the basement. I thought I had more. But this will give you a taste :)

Levi, thats outstanding work!!

I love built-ins. Too bad my current living room wouldn't allow for one.

Yes, it is a Gasoline fireplace. I'll have to get some photos of it on when I go to my sister's next!

Thank you! Well I just started tinkering around in my Dad's small workshop as a 10 year old kid, and since then have been self-taught. Started my own business right out of highschool. I had been homeschooled all my life, so it allowed me more time to live and learn :)

Thank you all for your encouraging words :)

Thank you good sir!

I used a mix of materials, depending on their purpose. MDF for the mantle top, and side cabinet tops to ensure a flat surface that wouldn't warp. Cabinet boxes were made with birch plywood. Maple for the doors and side panels. I used 1/4" Oak plywood for the inset panels for the doors. I wanted oak to get a more grainy look in the door insets. Tongue and groove barn board in the back of the open shelf units, and most of the trim was MDF stock as well.

I think that's it! :) haha

Thanks again!
Levi
