Couple of cutting boards, bowl, and a peppermill
Made a few Christmas presents for a friend's father in law. He wanted a cutting board, a decent size wood bowl, and a peppermill. So I made the peppermill from a piece of canary wood I'd been saving since 2008. It is 12" tall. The bowl was from a cherry blank I cut from a local downed tree about 10 years ago, its 14 1/2" x 4". And the cutting boards were made from cut offs lying around the shop. They're are approximately 11" x 18". The pig shaped one I'm keeping. There's walnut, Ambrosia Maple, maple, Purple Heart, and figured eucalyptus. Finish on the mill is lacquer, everything else got 5 coats of butcher block oil. Cutting boards were fun, I think I'm going to make some more for gifts.
