Cherry cake stand out to use

This is the cherry cake stand I made for my wife for Christmas. This is her first opportunity to put it too use. May I present her special banana nut bread. I created the glaze which is a banana pudding liqueur glaze.

Very pretty. I bet your wife really likes it.

The banana pudding liqueur glaze makes a nice, polished shine on the cherry wood. I usually rely on oil finishes myself.

The cake looks yummy, too.

That looks very nice! Seems you're getting much better with your turning!

How stable is the base with the extra weight of the glass top?

Very stable. It didn’t wiggle or wobble any.

Nobody bit on my banana glaze humor. Now I wonder whether people read it carefully enough, or more likely it wasn't funny. I hope y'all know I was just kidding. :-(
