Carolina room table and chairs

Six chairs and a table for a screened in porch. The chairs are done, table still has to be designed and built.

Two end chairs with arm rests four without.

Pictures of one of the end chairs.

Wood = Country Maple
Finish = Exterior WB Poly sprayed Deft. These will see some sun and perhaps a bit of rain overspray if windy.
Upholstery = Leather, my first shot at doing upholstery.
Inlay on back rails in Cherry, each chair in a different language, saying "Bless the food"
Used traditional mortise and tenon joinery, close to 120 joints for all six chairs.
Own design.

I purchased this Country Maple about six years ago, for 98c a bf, got 200bf and it has moved with me once. Glad I finally found a project wich is not too fancy, so I can use this stuff.

Those are pretty! Look too good for a porch.

Very nice work. I like the high back rest on this one.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"

Nice work! I love the turning on the legs, simple but elegant. The high backrest and inlay are a nice touch.
