Anniversary Wine Box

My son is getting married this coming weekend, and this was one of the things my wife asked me to make for he and his fiancé. It's a box made to hold a bottle of wine and a special letter from each that are in sealed envelopes. Then they're supposed to open it on their 5th anniversary. I had a piece of Ambrosia Maple I've been saving for about 10-12 years for something special. Couple of coats of clear semi gloss lacquer for the finish.

Very Pretty. That is a tradition that I had never heard about.

[QUOTE=GeorgeC;2069893]Very Pretty. That is a tradition that I had never heard about.

New by me too George. I just make whatever my wife tells me they need. 🤣 I made a nice arbor for them to stand under during the ceremony. Turned all the rustic live edge bases for the centerpieces. Also turned a series of three lidded boxes that fit inside each other for the ring bearer.
