Added the pipe clamp vise on the end of the bench.

Finished adding the pipe clamp vise, and it has surpassed all of my expectations. Loving life right now.

The problem with vises .....

As much as I like the end vises and how they work, it's the dang handles that I fear I will walk into at crotch height and scream scaring the dog and all the neighbors within earshot.

There is no good solution I've seen, so that's the price we have to pay. Ouch.

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

LOL!!! You are so considerate of others. If that happens to me, think the dog and neighbors are going to be the last thing on my mind.

I also recently finished a pipe clamp vise based on a design by Jay Bates(?). I needed one quickly for a project, and his design worked fine -- I expect to continue to get plenty of use from it.

Thought about doing a pipe clamp vise before seeing Jay Bates, but then found him and another when looking to see if someone else had done it and how well it worked. It works good.
