what to do about planer

Right now I have a parks 12 in thickness planer which I have never been very pleased with. I took it all apart and adjusted everything but
I am getting a crappy surface finish and snipe on both ends. I have adjusted it multiple times and it is never very good. I am to the point now were I just don't have time to mess with it anymore and am tired of trying to get it to work well and am to the point were I just want to get rid of it and just get a different planer.

I am considering watching for a delta dc33 or dc380 on craigslist or I could just get a dewalt 735x for 500. I figure that I could sell my parks for 375 because it has quite a few things going for it and if I had more room I would keep it as my second planer and mess with it when I have time.

I am just not sure how I want to go.

Lighten up . It's just the internet.

For the snipe, I would adjust the bed gibs, just tight enough, so the bed rides up and down smoothly. Also, be sure the bed rollers re not too high.

i'm sure it's just a matter of finding the right adjustments.
I would hate to see you buy a screamer, when you have a Parks.
Like selling an old Unisaw, to buy a benchtop saw.
