I have a JEt and I am seriously thinking about this. I understand that if your saw has holes 8-9 inches from the blade then it fits.

Yes it does.

I put a Vega on a Craftsman contractor saw and the difference was incredible. It is a well made fence and extremely accurate!

I couldn't resist and ordered the Pro 50 to go on a Craftsman I'm bringing back to life. My wife bought the saw as a surprise in 1977. I came home from work one day and there was this big box in the driveway with Craftsman on the side. She's been gone 18yrs. but I can't part with the saw.

I see it for $250. Is this the price that you saw on 5-3-2013?

I bought that very fence system from Amazon and installed it on a 1977 Craftsman 10 inch table saw. It made the saw operate like a new one.
You won't be disappointed.

I also have the vega 40 on a craftsman saw and I love it. Zero complaints. Got it off amazon about a year and a half ago for I think 230$ I only paid 40$ for the saw so I got a great saw for 270$ I keep thinking about a new 3hp grizz but I just can't justify spending that kind of money when my saw does everything I ask it to and does it well. You won't be let down with that fence

probably not without a fir amount of modification. the 744's fence looks to be specific to that saw.

I got my Vega unpacked Wednesday evening. The cardboard tore loose unexpectedly and I cut about a 4" L shaped gash on the back of my hand on a staple. Be very careful those staples are very sharp. Bandaged up and continued. After a closer inspection I'm pretty sure I'll be returning mine. The surface under the fence head where it rides on the tube is extremely rough and would have to be smoothed or it would gouge the tube. The cursor is broken. The fence is supposed to be anodized but if it is it's very poorly done. The finish is very irregular and scratched. This won't affect the operation of the fence but it's not something I expect on a new fence. All threaded holes are extremely rough and shavings are still in the threads and make it hard to turn the screws. I know many of you are very happy with the Vega and I might think so as well if I completely assembled the fence and installed it on my saw but I'd always be aware of the poor QC.
I think I received a fence that was made late Friday afternoon just before a shop party with free beer. It's something I would expect to find at Harbor freight and does not represent the Made In USA label.

The underside of the head of mine is rough also but hasn't scratched the tube or affected function at all. I also noticed that the threaded holes were a bit "rough" but I also had no problems assembling mine. The black finish on mine was fine. I have read other people say the same about the fit and finish on theirs. I just over looked it and installed it and like I said I previous post am very happy with it for the price.

Smile Vega Pro 50 Table Fence

Hello Everyone, I'm Ian newbie here. I was wondering if the Vega Pro 40 or 50 Table Fence will be able to fit my Oliver No.270 Table Saw? It's a vintage table saw that I've had since 1980's. Thanks in advance.
