Stains from my aluminium fence

I get black marks on my lumber from my aluminium fence on my joiner. How can I stop this? Is this a matter of cleaning or is it an oxidation process?

Welcome to the forum. Aluminum is bad for that. I hate it when I've been working on a ladder all day and get those black marks above my ankles on my shin from rubbing the step above the one I'm standing on.

My suggestion would be to try a good paste wax and see how that works. If that doesn't work then a nice coat of spray paint should for sure do the job.

Do one thing at a time, do it well, then move on.
