Brushes went out on my router today.
Having a hard time finding new ones.
So i am looking at getting a new one.
Looking at a hitachi m12vc.
I would like to get guide bushings to try. My question is do all routers
Accept guide bushings or are some better than others?

Different brands of routers accept different bushings, some are easy to install, some aren't.

Just a thought, you would get more use out of a plunge router than a fixed base router.

If you haven't already made your purchase, take a look at the Makita and Bosch routers.
I have a D handle Makita that is over 30 years old and has never been in the shop.

I have not made a purchase yet. I looked at bosch, porter cable and hitachi.
They all look like they came out of the same factory just different paint and stickers.
For right now i am just looking for a medium sized router like i have. Don't know if i would have any benefits from a plunge router.
If i can find brushes for my old one i will fix it. I am used to it.
