Replacement parts Hitachi F 1000A?

I have recently been given a Hitachi thickness planer, the F 1000A. It does not have the joiner and is just a 12" thickness planer.

The outer drive chain and the sprocket are broken. If I read the online parts diagrams correctly, the sprocket is Part # 90. The chain is readily available, but it appears the sprocket is NLA.

Does anyone have a junk 1000A, or know a source for obsolete parts. I am pretty sure this machine is from the early 80's. 110v, 12" blades.

I have tried to attach a picture from Google images, I think that is the same machine with a joiner attachment.

Try ereplacementparts.com. They might not have it on the site but they can probably direct you to a person that does if they don't have it. If you can't find it online call them. Next call would be to Hitachi if it were me.

Thank you, ereplacementparts lists the sprocket a $34.00. There is a pop up message to call them. The other large parts dealer on the web, with diagrams, listed it as NLA. A further web search included a post by someone who had contacted Hitachi about his 1000A, he was told that the "1000A was no longer supported"

Dig around this site........Martin is kinda the "Gold std" in sprocket world.BW

Those who say it cannot be done shouldn't interrupt the people doing it.
