Quick release 4" or 5" hose adapter?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a product that makes connecting 4" or 5" hosing (for a DC system) quick to attach and remove (quicker than using a hose clamp)? I'd like to be able to quickly attach my DC to each tool and having to tighten and loosen hose clamps every time is a PITA.

Thanks,
Jeff

Slip fittings

By combining these types of fittings I have a quick disconnect system. I use a 4" PVC coupler with this adaptor: http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/208...r-Fitting.aspx I just slip them together and the suction holds them. bill
And this: http://www.ptreeusa.com/dustfittings_connector.htm#420

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

I picked up a bunch of spring clamps from woodcraft while I was there, for the same purpose. I haven't tried 'em yet, but hopefully they work so I can leave hoses connected to the machines and just change which one is connected to the port.

I use a similar, single wire clamp without the extended handles. Les than a buck apiece at the local ACE.

Ya, I got swept up in the moment. I figured they were probably the same thing as used by my dryer hose to connect to the ducting, so I knew they weren't woodworking specific devices.

So I picked up the quick release adapter from peachtree and it works perfectly. Fits all of my tools (TS, jointer, planer, miter saw) and is quite snug.

Thanks for the tip!
