planer motor 5 hp

I need a new motor for my grizzly 20 inch planer model g0454z. can anyone tell me where to go or website to find a replacement. Thanks. Skanee

Have you checked with Grizzly.You may also try Northern Tool or Grainger although Grainger will be more expensive.Tons of places that sell electric motors.All you need are the specs off of the serial tag.
Mc Master-Carr is another.

Yes, stick with Grizzly

Grizzly sells a wide range of electrical stuff, switches, motors, phase converters. etc...

If you are not in a hurry for the motor you might find a motor repair shop. They can completely overhaul the motor you have now. Unless it needs to be re-wound you could probably save a lot of money. Buying a new motor from Grizzly would be my second choice. As a last resort I bet Granger would have the motor but it would probably be twice the cost.
