miter saw setup

Can I get some help on zeroing in/truing my saw? Can't find it in the manual. Hitachi C 10FCE2 model

The only thing I ever did is make sure the fence is perpendicular to the blade. And that the blade is perpendicular to the saw table. If it is a compound saw this last may be a continuing job.

Very simple on a hitachi. Like George said, check if it's cutting square when at 0 degrees and adjust fence if not. There's four bolts that hold it tight. To make sure it's cutting perpendicular, use a small fixed square and run it up against the blade, making sure your not resting it on a carbide tooth, but on a gullet. This is all in the manual that comes in the saw. Page 10.
