Lubricating Lift Thread
Continuing work on the Delta TS that I bought for my dad. Got the power switch working and now I need some advice on how to lubricate what I call the "lift thread". The threaded rod attached to a wheel that lifts the saw blade up or down. If someone can tell me the correct term as well I would appreciate it!
Seems like it has gunked up with old grease and sawdust so I need to clean it and lube it.
Should I degrease it with WD-40 and then hit it with a lube or just dry clean it with a brush and cloth?
Also, what lube should I use? A light grease or an oil?
The saw is a Delta SM200L so it is a small light duty bench top saw.
thank you for your help!
