I need a manual for a Grizzly G 1017 6" jointer

I bought an older jointer today. It seems this thing is older than the current model number practices used by Grizzly tools. It references a 12 inch planer. So hunting a manual for it will be tough, but I would like to get my hands on one or a digital download pdf file. Any ideas?

Seems odd that they would make a planer with the same model number.

But anyway, If a manual exists , Grizzly would probably know where you can get one.

I googled it but no luck.

somthins fishy...

That number brings up a 12" Planer.
Recheck your model number and look here: http://powertool.manualsonline.com/m...y/g1018_1.html

They show a G1018:
http://powertool.manualsonline.com/m...?idRes=1354237

Maybe it's one of these:

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

I'm not surprise. Grizzly may have china made stuff, but the customer service & technical support are usually excellent. I personally am a proud owner of a 6" parallelogram jointer, along with a bunch of other items I've picked up from the store. When I finally get a dust collector, I
m sure it will be a Grizzly as well.

That is very good to know. I feel fairly fortunate to live less than an hour away from the Bellingham Washington show room. Being new at this stuff, however, I made my first .trip into the store a week ago . You could follow my slobber and drool trail through the store as easily as following a slug's slime trail through a garden in western Washington.

Yeah, I live about 35 minutes from the Springfield, MO store. I stop in there about twice a month, mainly just to check out the clearance room. Looking forward to the June tent sale

Chuck if you looked closely you should have been able to see my slobber trail right over to my new Bandsaw! http://www.grizzly.com/products/17-B...unnion/G0513X2

I'm sort of glad I don't live closer, that would and could be dangerous! But I'll be there for the yardsale!!

I've heard good things about that 17" saw. I will get acquainted with bandsawing by using the 14" Jet I C/L'd for $100 a couple weeks back. ...So busy setting up old tools I haven't gotten to do any woodworking!

Just get a manual for a Delta Jointer, that is just a copy of one

Not bad mouthing Grizzly but that is pretty much how they started and since all the American names are made in China at 2-4 times the price, why buy them

I have about 10 Grizzly machines and all have been fine machines
