I finally did it

Well, after two years of not wanting to pull the trigger, I called Griz today and order a new 1023SWL, with the router table extension. I've been making sawdust with a less than adequate old Delta with a 1 1/4 hp motor, Direct Drive, for about 20 yrs or so. Last year, I even ran a new 220 Line from the board in my workshop in anticipation of buying this baby, but still didn't pull the trigger. I also ordered the heavy duty mobile base and the base extension for the router table legs. I made myself feel good by saving 5 Bucks on the Woodworker II blade, by buying it from Amazon rather than Griz. Anyway, now that I've ordered it, I can't wait to get it and set it up. As soon as it comes in, I'll post some pics. Not like any of you folks haven't seen a new 1023 SWL, but it'll be exciting for me.

Congratulations Ed, can't wait to see the photos.

Life is like a roll of toilet paper.
The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

Congrats on the new saw. It was like me running a 220 line for the compressor that I knew I was getting..

Nice score. I have heard nothing but good about Grizzly saws...

Interested in my woodworking, workshop and whatnot? See http://daves-workshop.blogspot.com, want to see my other interests such as hunting, fishing, off roading, and camping? See http://wildersport-outdoors.blogspot.com

Hi Ed

Let us know what you think of the saw when you have it set up and running.

Thanks for the kind words; of course now that I've ordered it, I can't wait for it to come in. After set up, I'll do B4 and after pics and post, if someone would be kind enough to give me some quick info on how to post pics.

Gosh Ed, I thought I was the only guy here that didn't know how to do all this neat geeky stuff----Anyway, congrats. I'm really excited for you. Please tell us all your thoughts and experiences with the new toy. I am looking to replace my old 66 with something, but I don't have the space for a 1023 or to much of anything else. That 66 will be a hard act to follow, but I can't wait to hear about your 1023
