Good Deal: Grizzly Extrenme Bandsaw G0555X

I have an opportunity to get a like-new condition G0555X Grizzly 14" Extreme Series Bandsaw with extras for $600?

It comes with the following upgrades:
- Mobile Base: $55 plus tax
- 6" riser block to increase cutting capacity to 12": $84 plus tax
- G0555X for $795 plus tax
http://www.grizzly.com/products/14-Extreme-Series-Bandsaw/G0555X

Since I live (and frequent) the local Grizzly store often, there would be no shipping. If purchased new separtely it would be about $1000 with warranty after tax.

Features:
•Deluxe heavy-duty stand
•Upper and lower ball bearing blade guides
•Includes 3/8" blade
•Fence scale with magnifying window
•Fence is adjustable for blade lead
•Cast iron frame
•Powder-coated paint
•4" dust port
•T-slot miter
Motor: 1-1/2 HP, 110V/220V, single-phase, 1725 RPM, 15A/7.5A, prewired 110V
Table size: 20-1/2" x 14" x 1-1/2"
Table tilt: 45° right, 15° left
Floor to table height: 44"
Includes deluxe extruded aluminum re-saw fence and miter gauge
Cutting capacity/throat: 13-1/2"
Maximum cutting height: 6"
Blade size: 92-1/2" to 93-1/2" (1/8" to 3/4" wide)
Precision-ground cast iron table
Computer balanced cast iron wheels with rubber tires

So, is it worth it for $600?

beautiful saw. while $600 sounds a little high to me, it's not high by much, but that's probably because i'm really cheap when it comes to buying pre-owned tools. i'd guesstimate that anywhere between $500 and $600 is a fair deal.

there's a solution to every problem.....you just have to be willing to find it.

Is this deal being offered by the Grizzly store? If it is then $600 sounds like a good price if the saw is in good condition and comes with a warranty. I doubt if you'll find an almost like new 1½ HP bandsaw for less than that.

Upgraded version of the G1019? Looks about the same, bigger motor. Picked mine up used for $150, w/riser block, no caster set, 2 extra blades. So, $300-400 perhaps? Just guessing.

It was bought at the local Grizzly but it's not there now. The guy was asking $650 and he was willing to go to $600 but no lower. If it was $500 it would already be in my garage.

It's actually about 4 or do versions up from that model. The standard G0555 sells $545 and has a 1 HP motor. The Extreme version has about 4 upgraded parts from standard. The sales rep went through the upgrades to me and the made sense. I believe the table is one, along with motor and a few others.

Sounds like a nice saw. If the upgrades are worth $350-$400 to you, buy it.
