Freud Diablo 24 vs 40 tooth

Long time forum lurker, first time posting.

I'm going to order some Freud Diablo blades for my 6" Porter Cable Saw Boss & 7 1/4" circular saws. Is the 40 tooth going to make much of a difference in OSB, plywood or pressure treated?

not really.
I use a 40 tooth for cutting sheets goods ( osb/ply/melamine) and a 24 tooth for framing.

Subfloor ply and osb can be cut with the 24t with no problem. The 40t is for tearout free crosscuts in hardwood plywood and lumber.

The 40T will make a cleaner cut, the 24T will make a faster cut... and you should notice the difference.
