First Impressions Skil 4290 Jigsaw:

My 30_ year old Craftsman just bit the dust, and needed a short term solution until I can afford a "real" one. Picked up the Skil 4290 at Lowes, @ $29.97 + tax. Spent an hour on the internet perusing all the cheaper ones, and the Lowes' price was about as low as I could find one online.

Pros:
Inexpensive
Free blade
Uses either T or U blades
Quick change blade holder

Cons:
Quick change blade holder (plastic actuator)
Shoe tilt only locks a 45 or 90, no way to lock it anywhere in between.
Speed control dial difficult to turn.

Overall, looks to be OK for the $$$. Will see how it holds up.
