Has anyone ever heard of a Dyna table saw? I'm needing a table saw and my buddy will sale me his for $100 it's 10" with stand but I've never heard of the brand "dyna-saw" the logo looks like some kinda dinosaur. I'm kinda worried it's some POS, i searched online and couldnt find any info. does anyone have any expeirence or heard of this brand? Thanks

I think that a more important question is:

How good of a buddy is the guy?

Google says they applied for the trademark in 1993, never finished the paperwork. So at least you know it's not super old.

Dyna saw?

Hi!
The suggestion from rrich is probably the best idea !
What can your buddy tell you about the saw (age, when, where or how it was obtained?
Any marks or numbers?
How 'bout some pictures? Motor brand?
Maybe it was "re branded"?
Help us help you!

I'm not familiar with Dyna saw at all, but that doesn't mean it's not worth $100. I'd be more concerned with what class of saw it is than the brand. If it's a full size (27" deep) cast iron saw with a belt drive induction motor, it could be a good buy at $100 depending on condition. If it's a benchtop lightweight saw, $100 is a lot of money for a no name light duty saw of this type. Can you get a pic of it?

Thanks for all the replies, you guys are great.
Rich and Vinny I used the term "buddy" losely lol he's a friend of my fathers and he got it at an estate sale said he only used it few times and that's all he knows . I'll try and get some pics Tom and take a closer look at the type and size of motor.

Joe - I found that same info but was surprised that's the only thing at all I could find, I thought the internet was all knowing lol

Scott - it seems to be a full size size, has legs and extensions for long pieces of wood. Has adjustment wheels for blade depth and angel. I didn't look at the motor well but I'll try and get pics of the saw and motor Tom. I've been looking at a lot of saws last few weeks and have seen those cheap table top ones and this seems much more heavy duty, only thing that worries me is the unheard of brand

Thanks for everyones input I'll try and post pics Tom and hoping to have a saw in my garage this weekend
