Dewalt planer 735

Just saw used unit for $300 so it's basically half off. Was told only been used for two projects.
It's been siting unused for 5 years since.

What do you guys think?

Good price to be sure. That all assumes he is honest and the 2 projects weren't the White Mountain National Forest.

One other thing, For the past few years around this time (Christmas/holiday sales) the 734 has been on sale for around $350. Clearly it isn't a 2 speed unit like the 735. They both are 3 blade units. It is built a bit different. It is worth considering. A new unit compared to a used one.

I would want the 735 to have an outfeed and infeed table.

From a price stand point, the 735 is fair price.

Let us know what you decide.

I think I'm going to pass on this one. I had my eyes on the 735x and lowest I seen was $475 that includes an extra set of knives and infeed and out feed tables

I don't feel confident that it's been sitting 5 years without any use on it.

When it comes to condition, I am skeptical of every used ad or posting until I make my own determination.

I have seen several posts where the seller calls something new and further in the post speaks to using it.

That deal expired but that was the lowest I seen on Amazon that was about 10 months ago.

$529 (retail is $649)is currently the best deal I see now.

For $300.00 I would at least look at it and listen to it run if it's not too far. I've had mine since '05 and it is a great machine.
