Delta DL-20 8" Jointer

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...554842332.html

Thoughts on one of these? No pics, so I don't know how old but let's assume it is in excellent condition. It includes a mobile base.

$1150 seems crazy - you can get a new grizzly 8" with a base for like $950 delivered.

I do like that it is a dual voltage model - I have a 110 garage now, but will likely move/upgrade some time in the next few years, so that's a feature, even if it means a less powerful motor.

It seems like $600-$650 or so at most is fair, even though that's way less than the ask.

Anybody have one and can comment on how good they are, or have any thoughts on what a reasonable price would be?

Thanks!

it does seem high. not sure of the vintage, but the newer delta models look very similar to Taiwanese models lately. the name isn't what it used to be.

Yea $1150 is a bit much. I bought a Northfield 12" jointer for $1200.

Before being discontinued the DJ20 retailed for nearly $3000.00 and they show up around here occasionally for around $1000.00 however you can get the Grizzly clone for about that price with a warranty as well as a built in mobile base.

What is up with Grizzly and their jointers? Most of them are "unavailable"?
