Delta contractor saws

Anyone know what the deal is with Delta Contractor saws? Is delta no longer making them under the Delta or ProterCable name?

The last Delta contractor saw I know of was the 36-980 (and variations of it 36-981, 36-982). Not sure if it's still made, but there might still be some available for sale. Woodworkers Supply

Porter Cable has the PCB270TS that's sold thru Lowes for ~ $599. It appears to be an updated version of the Hitach C10FL.

Here is the answer I jsut got from Delta:
"Thank you for contacting DELTA. Unfortunately, we no longer offer the Contractor Table Saw. It may be a product that we eventually bring back, but it is not in the immediate plans. I hope that this information is helpful to you. Have a great day!

Thank you for being a DELTA customer!

Btw, the PortCable saw has some big imporovements overt the Hitachi version -- the blade is einclosed in a dust chute now with a 2 1/2" connector at the back. The fence works a bit better.
