Craftsman scroll saw

I just made a $50 garage sale purchase of a new 16" scroll saw, mint condition. Yesterday it ran for 1 minute and stopped. Directions said to let it set to cool down ?? I also pushed the reset on the back. Would not restart. Today more of the same, ran for a few seconds then shut down and would not restart. I opened the back up and saw an intimidating computer board so I stopped there.
What now ??
Thank you,

If it isn't something really simple like a loose power cord connection I doubt if it's worth trying to fix. For what that saw sells for new, it's really a throw away tool if you have to start buying parts.

Another option is the Harbor Freight scroll or equivalent, but upgrade with a very nice blade clamp sold by Frank Pozsgai, www.pozsgaidesigns.com.
I bought a used Dremel scroll saw, absolute POS until I got the upgrade kit from Pozsgai and now it's very easy to change blades, etc. PLUS the saw no longer wanders AT ALL. It's a little pricey, but worth it.
Looks like this..

I figured it's time to change my signature so hold your breath. This is it.
Impressive, huh?

Id wager that something is causing excess friction somewhere in the moving parts, and thats causing the motor to overload and trip whatever safety features the board has. Id go through all the linkages and make sure they move free, my moneys on a crap buildup in one of the joints

I need cheaper hobby

Or crap buildup in the motor itself.
