Bowl Turning Question

Hi I'm new to Woodworking Talk.com, as a mechanical land manufacturing engineer new to bowl turning tools, I am also disapointed in the tools professionally manufactured. I bought one that came from New Zeland, with stellite "replacable" tips which rockwelled at 32 Rc scale where they should have been from 62 to 72 Rc. Obviously they didn't quench the tip in oil after it was silver soldered on. Also, most people don't have the technical ability to do that in a wood shop. My question is: Is there room for a better designed and engineered tool for bowl turning? Please contact me by e-mail [email protected] Thanks.
