Band saw tuning

I recently acquired a Grizzly G0555 bandsaw. The manual States it uses a 92.5 to a 93.5" blade. I tried s 93.5" and just can't seem to get it right enough.
Other than Amazon where could I find a good 92.5" blade?

I buy mine on E-Bay
my local Home Depot carries "a couple" - not a wide variety.
WoodCraft and Rocklers also carry them.

I buy bandsaw blades at a local shop that ships all over the country. They are bandsaw blade experts; it is basically all they do. They have big spools of blades. They weld the blades to your exact measurements, while you wait. They are not the only shop that does that, but I like them. Prices are reasonable. I was there last week and bought two 3/8 inch 6 TPI blades for $15 each.

Give them a try, or look around for a different shop that welds blades to order.

The early versions of the G0555 bandsaw were shipped from Grizzly with 92.5 inch blades. The upper wheel adjustment mechanism has to be readjusted for the 93.5 inch blades. Itís a one time adjustment and you just can use the 93.5 blades going forward. There are some (1 ???) set screws to be loosened (& afterwards tightened) to make the adjustment. The instructions should be in the manual. The manuals are also available on the Griz website. Worse case, call Griz Tech Support and they can provide the instructions.

Tom-G..Thanks, that makes a lot of sense, the blade that came with the unit, I got it from an estate sale and I can tell it was hardly used, but that blade tensioned up nice, I bought new 93 1/2 and cant get them to tighten up at all. I check the adjustment out tomorrow.

I read thru the manual, page 53 explains how to re-set it for longer blades!!!!

I have the same saw. I just recently ordered my missing blade guard on Grizzlies web site and found some blades on close out there at very reasonable prices.
