1967 Powermatic model 81

Good afternoon, I just picked up a Powermatic bandsaw for free, it works great but it needs new blade guides. Any suggestions.

Can you tell us more about the guides problem?

Could it be as simple as replacing the bearings?

Or just adjusting them, more info would help.

The rear bearings are worn out, but cannot get them out. Looking for a good alternative. I have heard good things about Carter guides but not sure if the have anything for this old of a machine.

Nice score for free. My brother bought that same saw to fix up but I donít think heís replaced the guides and bearings yet. Carter probably does have the guides. Iíd checked to see if they made them for my older powermatic bandsaw and they did. I havenít been able to spend that much on it yet though.
