Veritas plow plane with a few pics

The first two pictures are of the Veritas plow plane. It is very nice and well made, I must say I really love it and have used it a ton already. They have released an update for it, the depth adjuster could come loose and they've released an update to allow for better control of the depth. I haven't seen it yet but the upgrade is free for me, I just need to place the order from them for it with my next order.

The bottom picture is of the stanley plow plane blades compared to the Veritas plow plane blades. The stanley plane blades are obviously longer and you'd have to create a new notch in the blade for the Veritas adjuster to use them. I'm not sure they would clear the top nut on the adjuster of the veritas or if they would need to be trimmed but thought I'd point out stanley blades won't work without modification. Minor knock on a very well made product.

That is a very good looking plane, I have a #46 with all the irons, that is good to know the Veritas will fit the 46 if needed.

I have a full set of stanley plow plane blades I picked up at a garage sale for 5 bucks years ago. I just don't want to modify them to fit, of course I don't have a need for them as of yet either.

It is a very nice plane, it is a bit smaller than I'd prefer but it is well made and very nice.

Wow, you got a deal on the blades for $5, check out how much they go for on ebay. You can always make a nice wooden plane and use the blades in them.
