I got a new hand tool recently for use on sheet metal. It will install a threaded insert like a "pop" rivet in nature, but not exactly. It is a pull type arbor where it expands the riv nut/insert around both sides of the hole and secures it. It comes in lots of threads M5,M6 and M7 and 10-24, 1/4-20 and 5/16-18, etc. I needed it to install some grab handles on the restoration truck. Here's how it looks and works:
