thanks :)
i have tried it today, it can't climb a spot that i can barley notice it by hand, it's sole is dead flat out of the box, i don't know why stanley dropped down their quality for their newer planes .. you can feel the surface of the wood when it comes flat while planing as the sole is really in full contact with the wood .. i find it practical and can be sometimes used by one hand when shooting out rapid strokes to remove high spots before trying to take out any full shaving - it's weight does help .. it feels very well balanced carrying it and love the fact that the front side is spacious enough to push down not from the knob but behind it, on the manual it's described 'simply a small jointer' .. the taller sole at the front makes it easy to initiate the plane at the edge of the surface before taking a stroke .. just began leaning using it after watching alot about planes on youtube .. i'm really satisfied with it

what is nice about it really is it's price with respect to semi-premium planes nowadays on the market .. for 75$ you can get no.5 similar to it with respect to the precision of the sole is really great .. woodrivier i think it costs about twice the price - stanley should be back as they were at least at their quality when made in england

You paid in SAR .....

I believe that is in Saudi Arabia? How did you find the plane, over there locally? Do you have a source for them you would share? It is a great looking quality plane and I would like to own one myself. I looked on Ebay international but couldn't find any thing like that. Send me a PM if you would please.

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

Nice plane. Would get a No 4 next instead of the No 5. The 6 should do most anything you would grab a 5 for. You will like the 4 for smoothing.

@gmercer_48083 .. thanks dear, i'm one of his subscribers, i watched alot from his tutorials including honing the blade .. really i appreciated :)

@woodnthings yess dear, it's in saudi arabia - jeddah near al-balad - old mecca road .. i'll send you the location .. but i don't think they have any online trade, if sometime i passed there i'll check for you exactly the name of the store and it's exact location on the map

the plastic bag has http://www.alsohaibi.com.sa and [email protected] - but not shure if the bag is the same company for the store

the store is on the same road/sameside where this store is: https://goo.gl/maps/W65YaXqcw9U2 (Wood Tools Est.
Makkah road، Jeddah 22237) this is cmt orange tools store - dealer i think .. when you go there they easily can guide you .. it's very near to the current stanley dealer .. https://albawarditools.com at there new location https://goo.gl/maps/PCq3pW7oftR2

@JohnTC thanks dear, i barely could afford one plane after few months of patience lol i don't think i'll be getting any other within months or years but if i could i might get something from veritas 'Edge-Trimming Plane' - my main challenge is toi get a ruff swan woods to a true square edge - i loved that from veritas .. or maybe i get a lie-nielsen rabbeting bock plane as i love it too
