Anyone recognise who made this hand plane

I swear I have seen this before while searching for other hand plane information.

I have been trying to find on the internet, but not having much luck.

I saw this again on EBay. I am not interested in bidding, only wanting to be able to look up more information. The adjuster on the cap iron has me intrigued.

The EBay seller has no information about the plane.

Maybe a Sargent Autoset?? I don't think I've ever seen a good picture of one, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture.

Thanks for the reply. Some months ago Timetestedtools posted a thread about a Sargent autoset also called a 708, which is a different design.

Scroll down this page to see the difference.

Thanks for the reply, I had looked at Bridge City Records. Very interesting site. Who would have thought of combining old tools and vinyl records.

Just went page by page through Garret Hacks book and the Sargent was the closest one. But i know I've seen that design before.

Thanks, I also feel I have seen this before. I am going crazy trying to recall who made this.

I am not looking to buy, rather wanting the relief I did not imagine seeing this design before.

I thought Gage at first from the thumb nail but looking closer I see that it's not.

I too am drawing a blank thought.

At least I am in good company.

I feel I have seen this before, but the old grey matter is not recalling what may have been thousands of mouse clicks earlier.

Thanks for the replies. We have a winner, it is a Shelton.

I can sleep easier now.

A nice restored example.
