I'd first like to say fantastic job!!! If my project turns out half as good I'll be more than happy.
Now on to my question(s). I'm thinking of doing a checkerboard pattern on a box I plan to make and I was wondering how you made the joints between the individual panels of wood. Did you just make dead straight cuts and glue and clamp or did you perhaps tongue and groove it all?
I personally am thinking about using tongue and groove because it will be a heavy box with heavy stuff in it and moved rather often and I don't think just gluing flat boards would be strong but I'm kinda new to the woodworking scene and don't know for sure. Thank you for any knowledge and infomation you might throw my way.
