61 years young, married to same mean woman for 42 yrs. Had a construction company for 10 yrs. during the boom times. Whenthe mkt. fell off in Portland, I closed the company rather than have to go out and bid competitively for a contract. I had never looked for a job in 10 yers of contracting. Had all these tools, that I had beenpurchasing for 10 yrs. and refused to sell them for 10-29 cents on the dollar, and made woodworking my almost full time hobby. Just pretty much taught myself, and found an awfully helpful Rockler manager in Beaverton that gave me a lot of guidance and help. Soon discovered that as much as I enjoyed it, it still needed to help with paying it's way. That Rockler manager wasn't going to remain a friend for nothing. I started making pretty boxes out of pretty woods---- jewelry boxes, band saw boxes, humidors, wooden briefcases for DRs, and last but not least pet coffins--out of every exotic piece of wood I could find. Of course, that is only some of the story. I know it feel like home to have found this forum ,look forward to talking to all of you
