The strips are attached to the inner stems. Here you can see the bead of glue for the next strip and the glue on the stem.

First few strips.
First set. They need to dry for about 24 hours minimum.
My son is a great helper.
Pulling the stems from the steamer. You only have about 30 seconds to get them bent.
Steam rolling
My steam box setup. The stems are ash and cedar. They get steam bent around the stem molds.
