hi, thanks for looking at my post. One thing I learned about dowels is get a stop collar for your drill bit. That way you know how deep your going and how long the dowels need to be cut. I also bought a dowel center jig, that helps a bit but your limited where you can use it. I also used Titebond III glue, it's supposed to be somewhat water resistance. I glued all connections and all dowels. I bought a flushcut saw to cut the tops of the dowels off before sanding.
I have a Dewalt Joiner for cutting the biscuts. If you have any more questions or need a few pictures let me know. I will be glad to answer any questions. Keep in mind that this was my very first project so my knowledge is limited. Have fun and be safe!
