    Hello Daren,

I am interested in purchasing your kiln plans. A buddy and I started a small business about two years ago doing pretty much what you're doing (Urban Tree Recycling). We bought a Timberking 1220 and in our spare time go logging and milling. Anyway, our production of milled lumber has outstripped our facilities to store it for air drying. We were considering a solar kiln, but we're concerned if we're not able to manage the temp and conditions at least on a daily basis, that we might actually destroy our lumber before we get it down to 6%. Your kiln plans sound too good to be true, but I guess I'll try and see.

Let me know how to purchase the plans.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Paul, thanks for the offer I will consider it. I have looked there recently for exactly what you are talking about though, extra market...I am not thrilled at the prices I have seen others crotch slabs for example go for. (too cheap)

I had never heard that bootleg Rush, cool. I too have been a fan for 25 (?) years.

Darren, I keep meaning to ask you, do you sell on ebay? If you don't, then given these hard economic times, I'd think that, as an extra outlet, it would be would be an excellent way for you to move some of the specialty items like crotches and such that you undoubtedly get via milling. If you don't do it but are interested in taking it on, I can give you some help/advice. You can email me at phinds@phinds.com

    You'll probably think I'm a goofball...
But I happen to be a huge Rush fan. You mentioned Rush awhile back. These are interesting demos (synth age, but still fun).

Paul, directly below the posters name there is an exclamation point. If you mouse over it it says "report post", if you click it it lets you report it.
