Jim I boke down and bought a drywall lift about 5 years ago, after using 2 ladders, a push stick and lots of grunting and swearing. Best idea, and I still have some friends left! My girl friend,a realtor, doesn't understand a house with no casings on the doors. "NOBODY does it that way"...ya I know, nobody is this nuts! But I like the clean look.? Drywalling the shop ceiling at 11' tall required 3 guys, a scaffold and me pushing up with my feet from laying on the scaffold. Where there's a will...there's bill. Thanks for the compliments on the J boxes! I've got spalted maple all lined up for some new ones. Got to get going on them!. bill

Clampman, excellent reply re plinths. My own home designed and built mostly by me, uses no door casing but butts the drywall to an 3/8th " extended jamb for a "clean look". Drywall guy(me) must be accurate and have time on his hands! bill
