Yeah, that's a bit of a hike, but nothing a free saturday can't manage. I've got family out in powhatan, and we've made a couple road trips out to Lydia for a bed and breakfast.

I'll probably have to leave the newborn and wife at the house, but I know they'd be up for a road trip. Perhaps another time.

That's awesome. Luthiery has always been an interest of mine. I don't mind driving a few hours if it means I can make some dust.

As far as starting a guitar company? It's always been a dream a mine. I would love to help in any way I could. I might not have the woodworking experience to be a lead luthier, but I've been designing guitars and bass guitars for some time, and have been researching what is and is not important in the construction. Plus, a professional attention to detail, and I think I can help out a bit! -Michael

Hey, BW! I'm new to the site, and looking to find someone local to Virginia to link up with and get some hands on time with some tools. Being new to the area, and in the army, it's difficult to keep moving big tools around, and find myself consistently without a workshop. Woodnthings sent me your way. Let me know if you'd like to get together some time, I'll bring the porter!

Thanks. I'm familiar with caswell - I've considered buying a plating kit in the past. I didn't know they had so much info on buffing too.

Thank you! I am trying to hit that number so I can use the classifieds too. I just don't want to make little posts that make mods mad. I will be in touch, or you be in touch, lol. I should be there today. You peaked my interest.

Hey BW, if your PM box is full and you want to save the messages, I do, just click in the boxes or select all then at the bottom instead of "move to folder" use "save/download as text" then you can delete them and make more room. Don't forget to look in "sent" as well. You must be POPULAR!
