Thanks for the kind words, as eod technicians a large part of what we do comes from the first of us to do the job. Its always for me at least to read about how some of thise older guys were able to complete the mission with little or no training and very little equipment to help them out. Thanks for the article and if your father is still around give him a hearty hello from a younger explosive technician.

Paul, sorry I've been away from the forum for a long while, and only now noticed your msg. I guess, you've already made your decision; if you purchased it, I hope you like it... after you fixed all the perky things. Basically it is a good saw, but is is sort of half-backed product. You need to fix (or replace ) a miter gauge, move the fence rail to the right (and it is not that simple as one may think; the front rail is composed of two pieces, and if you bring the connecting point between them too close to the end of the table), and so on. But you can still work with it as is; the motor has plenty of power, and there is very little vibration (again, if it is well tuned...)

    Luck,
    Alex
